Terms of use of the website
Access to manitascosta.es is free and does not require registration. You agree to use the site lawfully and not to enter false information in the forms. The content (text, guides, price tables, photographs, logo) belongs to Manitas Costa or is used under licence; you may quote it with attribution and a link, but not reproduce it in full for commercial purposes without permission.
The DIY guides are for information only. They follow good practice, but every home is different: if you are not sure, do not touch electrical or gas installations or anything live, and consult a professional. We are not liable for damage arising from following the guides without due care.
The site may contain links to third-party sites (shops, manufacturers, Google). We do not control their content or their policies. The processing of personal data is governed by the privacy policy and the use of cookies by the cookie policy.
Terms of service
The prices published on the website are indicative, include IVA (VAT), and are confirmed in a fixed written quote (WhatsApp or email) before the work starts. That quote is the one that counts. If, once the work begins, a different fault from the one quoted comes to light, we stop, explain it and give you a new price; you can decline it at no cost beyond the call-out fee.
- Call-out fee: free if you accept the quote. If you ask for a visit and do not go ahead, €25 in Valencia or Alicante city or €35 elsewhere in our area.
- Parts and materials: quoted separately and itemised on the invoice. You may supply them yourself; in that case we are responsible for the installation, not the part.
- Hours: Monday to Sunday, 8am to 9pm. Outside those hours, locksmith and drain unblocking emergencies only, with the surcharge stated before we set off.
- Payment: on completion of the work, in cash, by card, Bizum or bank transfer, always with an invoice. On jobs lasting several days a deposit for materials may be requested.
- Cancellation: free until the tradesman sets off for your address; after that the call-out fee is charged.
- Excluded work: electrical installations and certificates, gas, boilers, air conditioning involving refrigerant, and works requiring a building licence. We refer you to licensed installers and accept no liability for their work.
Guarantee, insurance and complaints
Labour is guaranteed for 6 months from the invoice date, covering the repair of defects attributable to our work. It does not cover normal wear, misuse or faults in items we did not repair. Parts installed carry their manufacturer's warranty. This commercial guarantee does not limit the rights granted to you under consumer law.
The tradesmen on the team are covered by public liability insurance for any damage that might occur during the work. For any complaint, email hola@manitascosta.es; we reply within one month at most. Official complaint forms (hojas de reclamaciones) are available on request, and you may also go to your local consumer information office (OMIC) or the Consumer Arbitration Board of the Valencia region.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, any dispute will be heard by the courts of your place of residence. In all other cases, by the courts of [localidad del domicilio social pendiente]. We may amend this notice to reflect changes in the law or the service; the applicable version is the one published on this page at the time of booking. You can return to the home page or read how we work.
Frequently asked questions
Is a WhatsApp quote legally valid?
Yes. A quote accepted on WhatsApp or by email is a contract between you and Manitas Costa: we undertake to do the work described for that price and you undertake to pay it on completion. Keep the conversation; together with the invoice, it is your proof. If the job changes, the new price is also put in writing.
What exactly does the 6-month guarantee cover?
That what we repaired or installed keeps working for 6 months. If the roller shutter strap we fitted snaps, the tap we replaced drips or the shower screen we installed drops, we come back and fix it at no charge. It does not cover a different fault in the same item or damage from misuse, and parts carry the manufacturer's warranty.
Can I complain if I disagree with the invoice?
Yes. Email hola@manitascosta.es explaining which line you do not understand and we review it with the tradesman within one month. If we cannot reach an agreement, you can use the official complaint forms, your local OMIC or the consumer arbitration service of the Valencia region, which is free for consumers.
What happens if I supply the part and it fails?
We are responsible for the installation, not the part. If the tap you bought drips because of a manufacturing defect, the warranty is the shop's or the manufacturer's; we help you identify the fault and, if it has to be replaced, the labour for the second visit is charged. If the fault is in the fitting, we come back at no charge.
