24-hour locksmith: door opening and lock replacement
Door slammed shut, keys lost or a bombín (lock cylinder) that will not turn. We open the door without damage in 20-40 minutes in Valencia, Alicante, Torrevieja and Benidorm. A door opening between 8am and 9pm costs €60-90; a cylinder change is €40-60 plus the cylinder. Fixed price before we touch anything, at night too. Emergency drain unblocking: sinks, toilets and showers
The kitchen sink will not drain, the toilet is overflowing or the shower tray fills with water. We carry an electric spring machine and an inspection camera to find the blockage without breaking anything. Unblocking a sink, basin or shower costs €70-120; with the spring machine, €110-180. Roller shutter repair: straps, cords and slats
The most common fault in the blocks of Valencia and Alicante is a snapped strap: we replace it in 40 minutes for €35-60. We also rehang persianas (roller shutters) that have dropped or jammed, replace broken slats, change axles and pulleys, and motorise strap-operated shutters. Plumber for taps, cisterns and leaks without building work
A dripping tap, a cistern that keeps running or a flexi hose that is sweating. We handle the plumbing that needs no building work: tap replacement, Roca and Geberit cistern mechanisms, traps, stop valves and washing machine connections. Painters: paint the flat or remove gotelé at a price per m²
We paint whole flats, single rooms and ceilings with dried damp stains. We remove gotelé (the Spanish popcorn wall texture) and smooth the wall before painting. Walls in white cost €6-8/m², walls and ceilings €8-10/m², and a whole 90 m² flat between €800 and €1,500. We quote by the square metre from a photo and the measurements, with no visit needed. Same-day IKEA and flat-pack furniture assembly
PAX wardrobes, METOD kitchens, ottoman beds, KALLAX and BILLY shelving. We assemble, level and anchor to the wall any flat-pack furniture from IKEA, Leroy Merlin or Amazon, garden furniture included. We charge €30-40 an hour with a one-hour minimum, or a fixed price per item: a two-door PAX €70-110, a 6-8 unit kitchen €350-600. More under furniture assembly.
Handyman by the hour for the list of small jobs
Bathroom silicone, a door that sticks, a loose socket, three pictures to hang and a fly screen that will not slide. One handyman, one visit. The first hour costs €35-45, following hours €28-35, half a day €120-150. Ideal for getting a rental flat ready or checking over a second home before summer. We have handymen based in Valencia, Alicante, Torrevieja and Benidorm, where we arrive in 20-45 minutes. From those bases we cover the rest of the Costa Blanca: Dénia, Jávea, Calpe and Altea in 30-60 minutes, and Alcoy in 40-70 minutes. Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to have a handyman come out?
It depends on the job, not on how far we drive. A handyman by the hour costs €35-45 for the first hour and €28-35 for each hour after. Fixed-price jobs are separate: a door opening €60-90, a kitchen sink unblocked €70-120, a roller shutter strap €35-60. We give you the exact price on WhatsApp before coming out. Is there a call-out fee?
Not if you accept the quote: the fixed price already includes the journey. If we come to look and you decide not to go ahead, we charge a €25 call-out in Valencia or Alicante city or €35 elsewhere in our area. To avoid it, send a photo and the measurements first: in most cases we can price the job without a visit.
Do you come the same day?
For locksmith and drain work, yes: we arrive in 20-45 minutes in Valencia, Alicante, Torrevieja and Benidorm, and in 30-60 minutes in Dénia, Jávea, Calpe and Altea. For roller shutters, plumbing and furniture assembly we usually come the same day if you write in the morning, otherwise the next day. Painting and longer jobs are booked for a fixed date.
What are your hours?
We work Monday to Sunday from 8am to 9pm, bank holidays included. Outside those hours we only attend locksmith and drain emergencies, with a surcharge: a night-time door opening costs €90-150 and an emergency drain job €130-220. Every other service is booked for the next day within normal hours.
Which jobs do you not do?
Anything that requires a licensed installer: new electrical installations and certificates, gas, boilers and water heaters, air conditioning involving refrigerant gas, full renovations and works needing a building licence. Do you give a guarantee and an invoice?
Yes. Every job carries a 6-month written guarantee on labour, and the parts we fit keep the manufacturer's warranty. We issue an invoice with VAT in every case, including to residents' associations and to owners who live outside Spain. You can pay in cash, by card, Bizum or bank transfer when the work is done.
