Shower screen fitting prices by job

You buy the screen: a 2-door front sliding model costs €150-400 at Leroy Merlin and 80x80 or 90x90 corner screens run from €200 to €600. What we charge is the fitting: levelling the profiles, drilling the tiles without cracking them, hanging the doors, adjusting the rollers and sealing with silicone. On a hinged bath screen the work is similar but adjusting the hinge takes longer.

The table shows our 2026 prices for Valencia, Alicante, Torrevieja and Benidorm. If your screen is already in place but the doors do not slide or it leaks through the seals, the repair is far cheaper than a new screen.

Fitted shower screen price by town

Demand for shower screens is concentrated in Valencia, where renovated flats in Ruzafa and El Carmen swap the bath for a tray and then need the screen. There the price goes up 10-15 % for parking and blocks without a lift. In Alicante the base rate applies; in Torrevieja and Benidorm the same rate with up to 10 % more in outlying urbanisations and tower blocks with awkward access.

What changes the price of fitting a shower screen

Fitting a cheap screen and an expensive one costs the same if the tray is level and the walls are square. What changes the price is the bathroom, not the screen:

  • Type of screen. Fixed, front, corner, bath, from simplest to most laborious. 3-door screens or ones with a hinged door need more adjustment.
  • Walls out of square. In 1970s flats in Carolinas or Patraix the walls splay out by 1-2 cm; this has to be taken up with the adjustment profiles or with extension profiles.
  • Wall material. Hard porcelain tile (needs a diamond drill bit), ordinary ceramic tile, or moisture-resistant plasterboard with special fixings.
  • Shower tray. A flush resin tray needs the bottom profile glued, not screwed; old ceramic trays sometimes have a curved edge.
  • Old screen. Removing it, stripping the old silicone and filling the old holes adds €50-65 and half an hour.
  • Condition of the new screen. Leroy Merlin and IKEA ones come complete; some bought online arrive without screws or with instructions in Polish.
  • Access. 2 m glass panels that do not fit in the lift of a Benidorm tower and go up the stairs between two people.
  • Extra jobs. Replacing the shower tap, fitting a new resin tray or regrouting the tiles are quoted separately and done in the same visit.

What the price includes and what it does not

Included: travel, unpacking and checking the parts, levelling and fixing the profiles with stainless steel screws and the right rawlplugs, hanging and adjusting the doors and rollers, external sealing with anti-mould silicone, a water test and removal of the packaging. 6-month written guarantee on the fitting and watertightness.

Not included: the screen, the shower tray, the tap, the building work to replace the bath with a tray (which we coordinate with a partner renovation company, see how much a bath-to-shower conversion costs) or repairs to previously broken tiles. If a leak or a hollow tile shows up when the old screen comes off, we show you and give you a price before continuing. A shower tap replacement in the same visit costs €45-80 more.

Real examples with the total

120 cm front sliding screen from Leroy Merlin in a flat in Benimaclet (Valencia). There was a curtain, no previous screen. New resin tray, walls square. Fitted and sealed in 2 hours. Total: €120, IVA included.

90x90 corner screen in a villa in Vistahermosa (Alicante). Old rusted aluminium screen removed, old silicone stripped, 8 holes filled with epoxy filler matched to the tile and the new one fitted. 3.5 hours. Total: €215 (€60 removal plus €155 fitting).

Rollers and seals replaced on a screen in an aparthotel in Benidorm Rincón de Loix. Rollers pitted by limescale, door coming off. 8 new rollers, water-seal strips and adjustment. 1 hour. Total: €95.

How to save money and which offers to avoid

Bathroom showrooms usually offer fitting at €60-80 but with a one- or two-week wait and only if you buy there; the outside fitter they send sometimes does not seal properly and three months later it leaks at the corner. The "shower screens fitted €40" adverts on Milanuncios rarely include removal, anti-mould silicone or any guarantee.

To make the screen cheaper and longer-lasting:

  • Buy a screen with adjustment profiles of at least 2 cm per side; it adapts to crooked walls without extra profiles.
  • Measure the tray before buying: a screen 5 mm wider than the tray cannot be fitted and has to go back.
  • Choose stainless steel or nylon rollers with double wheels; zamak ones pit with the hard water in Alicante and Torrevieja.
  • Combine the fitting with a tap replacement or resealing the bath; the second job in the same visit carries no travel charge.
  • Ask for factory anti-limescale treatment on the glass: it saves hours of cleaning and avoids premature resealing.

When it is worth doing it yourself

Resealing the screen with silicone, replacing the seals or cleaning limescale off the glass are an afternoon's work that we explain in how to seal a shower screen, replace shower screen seals and how to clean limescale off a shower screen. If the sliding door has come off, see how to fix a sliding shower screen before calling.

Fitting a whole screen is a different matter: drilling porcelain without cracking it, levelling against crooked walls and getting it not to leak takes tools and practice; the guide how to install a front sliding shower screen covers the whole process so you can decide. Our shower screen installation service works in Valencia, Alicante, Torrevieja and Benidorm.

Guides and tips

Frequently asked questions

Does the shower screen fitting price include IVA?

Yes. Every price on this page includes 21 % IVA and comes with an invoice. If we buy the screen for you, we invoice it separately with the shop receipt, with no mark-up on the price.

Do you charge a call-out fee?

Not if you accept the quote. If you ask for a visit to assess and the job then does not go ahead, it is €25 in Valencia and Alicante city or €35 in the rest of the Costa Blanca. With a photo of the tray, the measurements and the screen model, we give an exact price without a visit.

How long does fitting take and when can I shower?

A front screen is fitted in 1.5-2 hours; a corner one with removal of the old screen in 3-4 hours. The silicone needs 24 hours to cure before the first shower. We give appointments Monday to Sunday between 8am and 9pm.

What if the screen arrives broken or parts are missing?

We check the parts before starting. If something is missing or a panel arrives broken, we help you with the claim to the shop and come back when you have the replacement without charging a call-out. You only pay for the actual time worked if we have fitted part of it.

How do I pay?

When the job is done, in cash, by card, Bizum or bank transfer, with an invoice. We do not ask for a deposit for the fitting. If we buy the screen ourselves, we ask for its cost in advance and account for it with the receipt.

What guarantee comes with the fitting?

6 months in writing on the fitting and watertightness: if it leaks through a profile or a door goes out of adjustment, we come back at no cost. The screen itself carries the manufacturer's warranty, usually 2-5 years. It does not cover glass broken by knocks or limescale build-up from lack of cleaning.

Do you also do the bath-to-shower conversion?

The full building work (removing the bath, new waste, tiling) is done by a partner renovation company we work with; we take care of the screen, the tap and the final sealing. We explain it with prices on the bath-to-shower conversion page.
