Elche has three types of home and three types of fault. Elche has fewer local locksmiths than Alicante, and the adverts for a 24-hour locksmith from 25 € you see on Google are usually call centres that send a technician from Alicante, Murcia or wherever one is free. When the lock is not to blame

In Elche's older blocks many wooden doors have swollen or dropped, and the latch no longer meets the strike plate.
